Bill Foss
formed a wine importing and distributing company with a fellow
University of
Michigan alum in 1972, while working as an aerospace engineer on the Mars Viking
Program. In 1973, Bill left engineering to devote his time to the BAUER & FOSS
operation in Ohio, a pioneer in fine wine distribution, where he served as
chairman until its sale in 2000. In Colorado, Bill worked as educator,
consultant and retail wine buyer prior to the establishment of GRAND VIN LTD., a
respected and innovative Colorado wine distributor, in 1985. He served as
chairman and co-CEO until the sale of the company in 2004. Over the years, Bill
has led many “insider” trips to wine country for friends, family and wine
industry colleagues, and now brings his savvy and expertise to you, the wine
aficionado, with the creation of VINTERNATIONAL ADVENTURES. Dianne Foss has
accompanied Bill on many of his wine country expeditions, and enjoys the role of
team photographer. A Colorado native, Dianne is currently taking graduate
courses in counseling and psychotherapy.

where he was wine columnist for seven years) and currently publishes

a companion to wine, food and wine country travel. John has worked in wine sales
and marketing for GRAND VIN LTD., lectured at food and wine events in Colorado,
California and Hawaii, and served as a judge in major wine competitions in
California, Nevada, Washington, Italy and Germany.
